Main Purpose of Role

• To identify, develop, pro-actively sell products and services in the automotive sector. Including dealership and incentive audits, mystery shopping, dealership training, supply chain audits, also identification of services around ISO/TS 16949 and other automotive standards. (“The Market Sector”)
• To deliver a wide range of consultancy and training client facing projects in the sector.


Key Accountabilities

• To fully understand the Market Sector landscape through existing knowledge and new research.
• To develop a strategy for SGS to enter the market sector through delivery of commercial training programs and consultancy activity, considering both commercial and operational issues.
• Assist in the design and develop a portfolio of services that are suitable for the market sector utilising the skills of other experts as required.
• Keep the strategy current with regard to changing market conditions as well as SGS development in the market sector to ensure that SGS is ahead of market trends and new thinking.
• In line with the strategy, undertake pro-active business development activity including networking, relationship building and direct sales to gain contracts.
• Assist in the development of relevant marketing and sales materials so the SGS portfolio can be professional and appropriately communicated with the market sector.
In line with the strategy and sales levels identify and recruit resources either employed or subcontracted in order to deliver programs to ensure that contracted programs are delivered efficiently and professionally.
Deliver programs to clients as required in line with competencies.
Undertake account management of larger contracts and programs so that SGS can ensure customer service excellence in our delivery and be able to maximise future sales opportunities.
Produce a monthly progress report showing achievements and progress against the strategy so that all stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
Update SGS databases as required so that accurate tracking and records are maintained.
Work closely with relevant SGS Product Managers to ensure that the training / consultancy portfolio is in line with current thinking and is integrated within SGS’ overall delivery.
