The SaaS Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving new business for the SaaS cloud-based label management solution. Working closely with the SaaS Operations team and the broader Sales and Marketing group, the Sales Account Manager will be responsible for identifying and qualifying SaaS sales opportunities in the small and medium sized enterprise (SME) space in Life Sciences, making contact with the decision makers and influencers at the target organization, articulating the value proposition of the solution and progressing the opportunities to closure. With a key focus on the US market there may be the need to organise appointments and travel to customers’ sites.

The SaaS Sales Account Manager will be an articulate and customer focused individual with proven experience in a telephone based sales role or business development position and a track record in achieving sales targets. Excellent telephone manner and face-to-face communications skills, along with the ability to build rapport quickly with customers are key requirements of this role.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role will consist of using sales and marketing data sources to identify and pursue SaaS prospect customers, primarily in the SME medical device sector but also across a range of Life Sciences organisations at the SME end of the market. Main duties will include:

• Owning new and existing leads provided through sales and marketing activities identified and SaaS opportunities.
• Initiating conversations with customers, identifying key individuals and qualifying potential for progressing into real opportunities.
• Articulating the SaaS value proposition clearly to customers and identifying where the biggest benefit for specific customers will be delivered.
• Where appropriate, attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
• Providing pricing information to customers.
• Pursuing opportunities to closure.
• Providing on-going account management support for customers and identifying opportunities for repeat sales / expansion of their environments.
• Liaison with the wider Sales and Marketing team.
• Willingness to travel when required by opportunities or other aspects of the role.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Must have a broad range of skills which include all of the following:

• Ability to work on own initiative with ambition and drive.
• Must be highly self-disciplined and a self-starter.
• Previous experience in telephone based sales, telemarketing, cold calling and following up leads.
• Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets.
• Organised with ability to plan schedules, set priorities and prove that target number of calls have been made.
• Used to exceeding targets with high quality work.
• Excellent communicator and telephone manner representing the company in a positive light at all times.
• Professional with integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Diligence in data gathering and data entry.
• Familiarity with concepts and use of CRM systems.
• Resilient and have the ability to move straight on with the next call and remain upbeat after dealing with a difficult contact.
• IT literate and familiar with Microsoft based products – Office, Outlook, Visio
