L&D Manager / Training Manager - Luxury Hotel London

Hotel: Luxury Hotel background / Min 200 bedrooms

Location: Central London

Salary: up to £40000 + Great Benefits

The Learning & Development Manager helps drive company values and philosophy and ensures all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization's mission and vision.

Works with property leadership team to identify and address employee and organizational development needs. The position is responsible for ensuring effective training is in place to enable the achievement of desired business results .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
* To work in conjunction with the HR Team, the Learning & Development Manager will; design, implement, deliver and evaluate new training programmes
* Ensures employees receive on-going training to understand guest expectations
* Uses effective training methods to ensure employees have a good understanding of guest satisfaction and can demonstrate guest satisfaction skills
* Meets with training champions on a regular basis to support training efforts
* Maintain all training records for programs you have facilitated completion of Training Attendance Records
* Assist in the drafting, implementation, and reviews of Hotel's policies related to Human Resources.
* Analyse reasons for leaving on a monthly basis, and high-lighting areas of concern, with suggested remedies.
* Developing Training Program Plans for "succession" and "Development Programs"
* Ensures all training and development activities (department specific and general property training) are strategically linked to the organization's mission and vision
* Manages budget in alignment with Human Resources and property financial goals
* Responsible for engagement activities while ensuring employee satisfaction.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

* Must have a minimum 5 years experiences in the L&D division
* Train the Trainer certification and experience designing training courses is essential
* Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
* Work to a high standard with great attention to detail.
* Hotel experience - 5 star hotel experience will be beneficial.
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hotel Management/Business Administration.
* Organisation, self-motivation and Integrity
* Understanding of the hospitality environment
* Must be motivated & charismatic individual that inspires the team.
* Must have strong planning and organisational skills in order to strategically manage an annual training programme.
